I'm an adventure-seeking travel photographer with a passion for exploring. My travels have taken me across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and along the way I've become endlessly fascinated by the people I meet and the unique crafts they create.
In 2007, that passion led me to create Naturally Crafted, offering handmade products from Asia, Africa, and South America. Our range grew to include clothing, accessories, furniture, jewellery, rugs, and wooden and metal sculptures, alongside a line of organic coffee, teas, infusions, and spices.
Naturally Crafted paused for a few years, but I kept travelling through the winters, forging new connections along the way and always knowing I'd bring it back.
Those travels also inspired First Step Adventure, a travel information website where I share my photography and knowledge, with a focus on Asia and East Africa. The site includes helpful links, travel information, and details of charities doing meaningful work in these regions. My contributions to Google Maps, with over 9 million views, are my way of helping fellow adventurers on their own journeys.
Now it's time to relaunch Naturally Crafted. Our collection includes unique handcrafted wares from both new and established artisans, many sourced directly from remote makers, making each piece genuinely bespoke. We also offer a selection of unusual antique and collectable items.
Through it all, I'm supporting traditional craftsmen and women in small cottage industries across Asia, because I understand how important it is to preserve and promote crafts that are so often woven into the heart of the communities that create them.
I hope you enjoy exploring the new Naturally Crafted website, and the glimpse it offers into the beauty and creativity we're helping to flourish.
