This pair of Japanese porcelain decorative plates dates from the mid to late 20th century and features traditional hand-painted designs in the Imari style.

The first plate features a pheasant surrounded by peonies. The second depicts a traditional Japanese cart beneath a cherry tree, with peonies forming part of the surrounding decoration. Both designs use traditional Japanese decorative subjects and are painted onto the porcelain surface.
